When the regular sailing
season
draws
to its conclusion, and the temperatures are beginning to be even
more disappointing than they were on occasion during the summer,
we thought it might be a good opportunity to remind you of some
of the services that we continue to offer, in case you wish to
update or improve your boat before for the winter, and in time
to ensure that you are ready to go again next spring!
With a lifetime of experience within the dinghy and small boat
market, we can offer you a service that can take care of
virtually every issue you might be experiencing with your boat,
and have pleasure in listing some of the services which might be
of assistance to you:-
REPAIRS:
Over the years we have gained a great reputation for repairs in
both wooden and timber craft: having worked on anything from
Optimist dinghies, up to Trans-Atlantic racers. We
work in polyester, epoxy and vinyl-ester materials, and our
repair service is approved universally by all of the best dinghy
insurers. Everything from a gel- chip, to a hole large
enough to climb through fall within our scope, so take this
opportunity to tidy up any bits of damage before putting the boa
in the garage for the winter.
PAINTWORK:
We offer a hand painting service for wooden boats of any class-
from modern to traditional. Additionally we have the facilities
to spray in two pot polyurethane, or any paint of your choice.
REFITTING:
Decades of experience at the front end of National and
International championship fleets gives us the experience and
knowledge to carry out fitting work of any type, from
installing bailers to supplying, rigging and fitting replacement
masts.
SPARES:
We offer a spare parts supply line for current boats from our
production list, as well as many of the obsolete versions of the
designs which have been superceeded in the past 20 years – this
includes fittings, spars, foils and all general equipment.
BROKERAGE:
Whilst in the main it is
our wish to get you into a new boat, or improve your existing
one so that you can get more pleasure from sailing it, if
you find that you are no longer using your boat as much as you
wish, we do offer a brokerage system to help you to sell your
boat, without the hassle of entertaining “tyre-kickers”,
or buyers who want to buy something for nothing. In the
main we limit this service to classes boats that we offer new
(as per the list above), but we would certainly be happy to
discuss any boat that you might wish to sell, to see if we might
be of any assistance.
You can see that we are able to help with any problems that you
might be experiencing so give us a ring, or send Ian Porter an
email, and discuss your requirements, and we’ll see how we
are able to help you to have an even better season in 2016.
We are still based in Emsworth, just to the West of
Chichester. Contact us now and see if we are able to
take some of your worries away, and ensure that you can make the
most of the glorious weather that we are owed for next
summer!!
